Book lovers will be pleased to hear that Godalming Library will reopen tomorrow.
Readers will be able to browse for books by following arrows that will guide them safely between the shelves.
From tomorrow the following services will be available:
Browsing and borrowing items in libraries; use of the Click and Collect service, allowing customers to return their items, collect Ready Reads and reserved books; use of the public PCs and printing; online book reservations and pick up from the nearest open library; the Library Direct home library service. Customers can also access over 30,000 eBooks, eAudio, eMagazines and eComics online and take part in creative and interactive events, including Christmas themed ones, via Facebook. New library members can register online to get access to all the digital resources. Surrey County Council, which runs the servce, says Covid-19 safety measures will be in place, including rigorous cleaning and hand sanitiser at library entrances, a limited number of customers allowed in at any one time, and quarantining of returned items. To minimise queues, visitors are encouraged to go to libraries on their own and to limit their visit to 30 minutes. Visitors will be required to follow safety precautions including wearing masks inside the building, and are being asked to comply with NHS Test and Trace requirements. The library will be open to visitors from 9.30pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9.30pm to 5pm on Saturdays.
