People heading out for their Covid jab today are being advised to wear warm clothing and take a hot drink in a flask.
Surrey Heartlands, which is overseeing the rollout of the vaccine in the area, says all services are running as normal despite the snow and ice.
However at some venues people might have to queue outside, although efforts will be made to keep queues to a minimum.
The advice when going for a jab is:
Dress warmly
Try to arrive on time but not earlyIf you are travelling by car and are early, stay in your car until close to your appointment time
Take a warm drink in a flask. Surrey Heartlands is also now asking anyone aged over 70 who hasn't been invited to get the vaccine, to book an appointment as soon as possible. "Very good" progress has been made across Surrey to vaccinate people aged 70 and over and those who are clinically extremely vulnerable, the organisation says. Over 70s can book an appointment via the national booking service or by calling 119 free of charge, anytime between 7am and 11pm seven days a week. This provides access to the large vaccination sites, such as the one at Epsom Racecourse. Eligible people can also phone their doctor's surgery to be booked onto a slot one of the GP-led vaccination sites, such as G-Live in Guildford and Cranleigh Village Hall.
