Tuesley fruit grower Hall Hunter is to hold an exhibition for neighbours to view its plans to erect more polytunnels on its site near Godalming.
Hall Hunter grows blueberries, strawberries and raspberries and raspberry plants which are sold to retailers across the UK and Europe.
Tuesley has been a berry farm since 2003.
In 2003-4 the farm planted 10k of hedgerows and windbreaks, plus 5km of beetlebanks - strips between fields planted with grasses and other plants that attract natural pest controllers, such as insects and birds.
A spokesman for the firm said: "The landscape and biodiversity has changed significantly.
"With these changes in mind we would like to make a fresh tunnel planning application to increase the number of polytunnels to enable us to cover more of the crops for longer and to better enable us to manage the harvest, improve crop quality and yields, putting us on a more even playing field with the rest of UK berry farming.
"We would also like to extend our season by investing in an environmental heat system: this will enable us to start picking earlier in the season and go later into the autumn.
"We anticipate traffic flows being no more at the peaks, but for a longer period as the season will be extended."
Hall Hunter is currently in pre-application discussions with Waverley Borough Council and representatives from Surrey Highways about the plans.
The two walk-in exhibitions will be held at the farm, and will provide an opportunity for visitors to give feedback. Farm owner Harry Hall, staff and consultants will also be present to discuss the plans.
The sessions will be held on Tuesday, October 20th from 11am to 2pm and Wednesday, October 21st from 5pm to 8pm.
Anyone who wishes to attend should register by email by October 19th to be allocated a timeslot.
