Police chief thanks public for their support during pandemic

Surrey Police Chief Constable Gavin Stephens has thanked residents for their support during the pandemic and for observing lockdown rules.

His comments came as International Thank You day is marked today.

Surrey Police issued a statement, in which CC Stephens said: "At a time when we're facing our biggest challenge yet, I want to say an enormous thank you to the Surrey community for complying with the tough Covid regulations.

"It's not easy, but I appreciate every single one of you who continues to support us and other public services by following the rules."
