A poster to print for Remembrance

Godalming Mayor Penny Rivers is urging residents to print off and display this poster to show their solidarity with others during the Remembrance period.

Godalming Nub news reported last week that the traditional parade through the town had been cancelled due to the pandemic.

Mrs Rivers said of the poster: "People can print and display it so that though we cannot mark the time together we can still pay our respects for those who served and for those who continue to serve."

A service will be held at St Peter and St Paul's Church on Remembrance Sunday, November 8th, but will be open only to those with an invitation.

Mrs Rivers will be joined by service veterans, civic leaders and representatives from community groups and organisations.

Service veterans who wish to attend the church service should call 01483 523575 or email to reserve a seat.
