Time is running out for you to have your say on Waverley's draft Local Plan

By The Editor 26th Jan 2021

The consultation period on Waverley's draft Local Plan closes at midnight on Friday (January 29th) and the council is urging residents to give their opinion on the document.

Local Plan Part 2: Site Allocations and Development Management Policies is the second and final part of the borough's Local Plan and sets out the policies that govern decisions on planning applications. It will also allocate sites for housing in Haslemere and Witley, where the Neighbourhood Plans are not doing so, set out the location of sites for Gypsies and Travellers, and review other land designations in the borough.

The consultation period has been extended from six weeks to nine in recognition of the disruption caused by the pandemic.

The plan and supporting documents, as well as information on how to make a representation, will be available to view on the council's website.
