Train company urges passengers to only travel if necessary this New Year's Eve

South Western Railway is reminding people only to travel if necessary this New Year's Eve - and has pointed out the last train from London Waterloo leaves before midnight. There are no public events scheduled to greet the new year in London this year.
A spokesman said: "It's going to be unusually quiet in London this New Year's Eve with no public events.
"Please only travel if you are following the latest coronavirus advice."
