Godalming's MP, Jeremy Hunt, has urged people to work together to get the town lifted out of Tier Two as soon as possible.

The government announced this morning that the whole of Surrey will be put into Tier Two when the current lockdown is lifted on December 2nd.

Mr Hunt said: "After much speculation, the confirmation that Waverley and Surrey will be in Tier two will have a mixed response I am sure. However, I think it gives us clarity and if we all stick to it and work together, we can come out of this sooner - especially given the positive recent news on the vaccine front.

"I am sure many will welcome the 11pm final curfew time for pubs and restaurants rather than the previous 10pm."
