Activities include football skills, beginner Judo, kids fit classes, beginner Karate, making puppets, dance workshops, ballet, scavenger hunts and family trails (for those who want to wrap up warm and head outside).

Godaming Leisure Centre will reopen from Monday, Places Leisure, which runs the centre on behalf of Waverley Borough Council, has confirmed.

The gym and pool will reopen for booked sessions but studio classes won't restart until May 17th in line with the Government's reopening roadmap. Both lane swimming and swimming lessons will restart on April 12th.

Wheelie bins set to shrink

Wheelie bins are set to get smaller as Waverley adopts a new policy for its waste and recycling service.

Last week the council's Executive committee agreed to adopt the new policy and charging system for refuse, recycling and food waste bins, which will mean householders in new homes, and those requesting replacement bins, will get a 180-litre bin instead of the current 240-litre size.

Some people who got a dog during lockdown have inadvertently help to full a surge in criminal behaviour, according to Surrey's Trading Standards officers.

Since March 2020, Buckinghamshire and Surrey Trading Standards have reported a 566% increase in the number of animal welfare consumer reports relating to puppy farms, puppy importing, puppy health and fake adverts selling puppies that do not exist.
