A fundraising drive to build a 3G football pitch at Rodborough School to enable youngsters to play all year round could get a boost if a funding application is successful.
The Rodborough Community Football Pitch would be used by several clubs as well as the school. Members of Elstead Sharks, Milford Pumas, Crawley Town Foundation and Surrey FA Disability would benefit from the new pitches.

"It will be good to get back in action." That was the response of Godalming Town FC Commercial Director Glenn Lye today to news that outdoor sports can resume next weekend.
The Gs will resume their season with an away fixture at Farnham Town on Saturday, December 5th.
Young footballers in Godalming have had their training sessions restored thanks to a grant from a local councillor.
Milford Pumas Under 13 girls team had been training at Charterhouse until Covid put a stop to the sessions.

A nail-biting penalty shootout saw Godalming Town regain the Bill Kyte Trophy this afternoon, after a tense game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The squad regained the silverware from rivals Guildford Town after running out 4-1 winners in the shootout.
As Godalming Town FC prepare for their first match in front of a crowd since March, the sense of anticipation is building at Wey Court.
The turnstiles will be open and the matchday atmosphere will be back as the squad take on Amesbury Town in a friendly tomorrow (Saturday).
As teams return to training and pre-season friendlies, Farncombe Town FC is looking forward to the new season.
The squad kicked off their pre-season friendlies with a 1-1 draw against Rudgwick on August 1st.
Godalming Town FC is holding trials for under-18 players on Thursday, August 6th.
The squad will play midweek games in the Combined Counties Youth League next season as well as taking part in the FA Youth Cup.
