Godalming's MP, Jeremy Hunt, has congratulated Boris Johnson on securing a Brexit deal.

After news came from Downing Street that the PM and EU President Ursula von der Leyen had reached agreement on post-Brexit trade arrangements, Mr Hunt tweeted: "@BorisJohnson promised to Get Brexit Done. He has now done that with a deal much better than many thought possible.

"Congrats for showing that this country remains one of THE greatest democracies on the planet where politicians do what the people tell them, however difficult."
