Godalming tales to amuse and entertain from a group of talented writers

By The Editor 20th Jan 2021

Witches. Cats. Skulduggery. A bank robbery. An eclectic selection of topics all outlined and discussed in flawless prose. If that were not enough, there are also emergency pants, nostalgia, parking problems and a graveyard.

All these are to be found in the latest publication from The Godalming Writers Group, appropriately titled GodalmingTales Vol 3.

Subtitled Tales from a Desk at Home while Self-Isolating, the book features amusing, intriguing and absorbing stories written by members of the group, almost all Godalming-based authors writing from home.

The Godalming Writers Group meets fortnightly via Zoom, a spokesman tells Godalming Nub News, but prior to the pandemic would meet monthly at the Jack Phillips and at Meadrow Court.

Members are working on a fourth volume, provisionally titled Tales from the Surrey Hills. There are plans to make GodalmingTales Vol 3. available in shops and other outlets in and around Godalming once the pandemic is over, but for the time being it can be bought from Amazon in e-book and paperback form here.
