A note for Farnconbe residents whose bins were due to be collected by Waverley yesterday but weren't: leave them out today and they will be emptied. The council has offered apologies "for any inconvenience caused".

Talking of councils, Waverley will tonight make a decision on the plans to site a 5G phone mast on top of the Caesars Place development in Ockford Road. Tune into the meeting on the council's YouTube channel at 6pm to hear the discussion and see which way the vote goes.

The roadworks are still ongoing at the bottom of Eashing Lane, so the area is best avoided if you can.
