Good morning Godalming!
The weather continues cooler and unsettled today, with more rain forecast to arrive around lunchtime and continue until early evening.
Today is the 75th anniversary of VJ Day, the day that marks the capitulation of Japan in 1945 that brought an end to the war in the Pacific and signalled the end of World War II.
National commemorations will include a two-minute silence at 11am and a flypast over Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff and London by the Red Arrows.
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them. Have a good day Godalming.
