Batten down your hatches, looks like snow is on the way!

The Met Office has issued a yellow snow warning for the south east from the early hours of tomorrow (Saturday), with heavy snow forecast from 5am to 7am.

The warning reads: "An area of rain will move eastwards through Saturday and is likely to turn to snow as this runs into cold air over east and southeast England.

"Snow is likely to fall to low levels on the leading edge of the rain area before snow levels gradually rise for many from the west. East Anglia and parts of Kent and Sussex look most at risk of seeing snow for longest."

The snow could lead to delays or cancellations to rail and air travel and travel delays on roads, stranding some vehicles and passengers.

Some rural communities could become cut off, the warning adds, and

power cuts may occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.

You can view the full weather warning and map, as well as get any updates, by visiting the Met Office website via the link here.
