Surrey County Council has launched a reporting tool for people to raise their concerns about businesses or venues in Surrey that are not following the Government's COVID-19 restrictions.

Businesses or venues can be reported if there is a concern they are breaching rules and restrictions such as the incorrect use of PPE and handwashing facilities, inadequate barriers or protection measures and not carrying out risk assessments.

The authority says all reports will be investigated by Buckinghamshire and Surrey Trading Standards, working with Environmental Health and Surrey Police when appropriate.

Ruth Hutchinson, Surrey County Council's Director of Public Health, said: "Infection rates are still very high, so we are keen to work with businesses and organisations in Surrey to ensure they are operating in safe and controlled environments, not putting staff and the public at risk. We are thankful to everyone who is following the rules and staying home to help prevent the spread of the virus."

Anyone can report a business they are concerned about on the Surrey County Council website.
