A Debra spokeswoman has pleaded with people not to leave donations outside the shop while it is closed.

The big pile of clothes dumped outside the shop in Farncombe has now been cleared, but the charity is anxious to stop another pile building up.

The heap of clothes and other items appeared last week and were piled up in front of the windows and door, despite signs asking people not to leave items when the shop is closed.

Nub News contacted Debra, who told us the shop would reopen on Tuesday (July 28th) and the area manager had been asked to clear the pile.

She said the charity would now inspect the items, and if they were not fit for sale, would have to dispose of them.

"It will be up to the shop manager to decide if they can sell it or if they will have to dispose of it," she said.

"They did put signs up on the windows and doors but people don't take any notice."

"Please only take donations to the shop while it is open," she said.
