Witley Community Recycling Centre will revert to its normal opening hours from Saturday (August 1st).
All recycling centres across the county will revert to normal opening hours from that date.
But the bad news for bargain hunters is that the Reuse shop will stay closed for the time being.
Opening hours at all sites will be 8am until 4pm on each opening day, although residents are being asked to check the website before travelling.
Suez Surrey, which operates the site on behalf of Surrey County Council, also says that householders will be turned away if the sites become too busy.
New procedures will be in operation:
On entering the site drivers will be directed to a lane to wait until a bay becomes available. They will then be asked to reverse into a numbered bay. There will be clearly marked walkways, and only one person will be able to use the containers at any time. A spokesman for Suez Surrey said: "As a result of the social distancing measures, the number of people allowed on the site at any one time will be limited. "It's expected that only a quarter of cars will be able to pass through the sites, compared to the typical peak time visitor levels at this time of year. Therefore, queues are expected and people should only visit the CRC if it's essential. "We do anticipate that there may be significant demand in the first few days, and you may be asked to leave and come back at a later date." And there are restrictions on the type of waste you can take: batteries, black bag waste, bulky waste, cardboard, gas bottles, green waste, hazardous waste, scrap metal, small electronics, white goods and wood are all allowed: asbestos, soil, rubble, plasterboard, tyres and textiles are not.
