The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for snow this weekend, and warned that the cold weather could persist into next week.

Forecasters are predicting rain tomorrow (Saturday) which will turn increasingly to snow during the course of the evening. The snow will continue through Sunday and into Monday, with the Yellow Warnings for snow and ice continuing right up until Tuesday.

Temperatures will hover around the zero degrees mark, but the wind chill factor will make it feel more like a bitter minus 7 from Sunday evening and all day Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday's forecast sees the thermometer dropping to minus 8 during the day, with a Yellow Warning for snow and ice.

So wrap up warm folks, it's going to be a chilly few days!
