The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for rain today as storm Christoph barrels in.

The entire country is under a warning of some or other today, with warnings of rain across most of England and snow and ice further north.

In Godalming the forecast is for heavy rain all day, and the Met Office is warning of potential travel disruption and flooding in places. Forecasters are warning that flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely, with bus and train journey times taking longer, spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer and some interruption to power supplies and other services likely.
