One of the building sites at Ockford Ridge is undergoing a deep clean after one of the workers tested positive for Coronavirus.
Developer Thakeham, which is constructing the homes on Site A, said the person had been advised to self-isolate, along with colleagues with whom they had been in contact.
In a statement, the company added: "The employee's local health authorities are aware, and we have offered our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
"The workers had been advised to seek further medical advice in line with Government and NHS guidelines, Thakeham added.
"The site itself is undergoing a deep clean in line with the latest Government, Public Health England and Construction Council guidance," said a spokesperson.
The colleagues were working on Site A, the development around the new Whitebeam Way.
Work at the site stopped on March 30th, but workers returned on April 14th after Thakeham put in place extra hygiene and social distancing measures. Waverley is developing six sites on Ockford Ridge in a regeneration programme that will continue until 2025. Godalming Town Council leader Paul Follows, who represents Ockford ward, said: "This has been dealt with properly and professionally by both Thakeham and Waverley." He added that he would be available to discuss any concerns people may have. Godalming Nub News has approached Waverley for comment.
